You will be working with many different marketing professionals throughout your time as a Realtor. Below is a cheat sheet to different file type you may be asked for or hear about.

Image Files

• JPG or JPEG - A Flattened Image File. This will have a white background and degrades.

• PNG - Transparent Image File. This will have a clear background and degrade.

• HEIC - Compressed Image File. Common in mobile devices, will need to be converted for some programs.

• SVG or EPS - Vector-based files. Easily resized, does not degrade. Good for large format or logos to maintain quality.

Design Files

• .AI - A native Adobe Illustrator design file. Will require special software to open and edit

• .PSD - A native Adobe Photoshop file. Will require special software to open and edit

• .ID - A native Adobe Indesign file. Will require special software to open and edit. Please note that unless this file is packaged and compressed (.IDD), it will not likely be usable for the party who opens it.

Document Files

• .DOC, .DOCX, .TXT - A text document. Will require special software to open and retain all formatting

• .EXL, .EXLS, .CSV - A table document. Will require special software to open and edit and retain all formatting. Often used in mailing lists and data organization

• .PDF - A text / visual document. A universal way to share reports, forms and documents. Will require special software to convert or edit inside the document itself

• .PPT, .PPTX - A powerpoint document used in making presentations. Will require special software to open and edit

You need to have a link back to an MLS connected website, that way it accurately portrays the information and status of the property no matter when it is clicked. A great resource for this is to include the IPW link generated automatically on your Danberry Site for that property. Yes, your status as a Danberry agent must be included on any social media account you intend to use for marketing purposes. This can be done in the name of the page, the bio, or the posts themselves. You should have a Danberry logo present on any post imagery used to market a listing. Failure to do this could result in a fine from the board. If you have questions, please consult your office manager!

There are a few ways to make a QR code. One of the easiest and safest ways to make a QR code is to use the QR Code application in your Canva Pro Account. If you are a member of Render, this is included in the cost of your account.

There are other ways to generate QR codes online. Please keep in mind that some of these may include additional paid features or less stable than using a paid secure generator such as Canva.

If you are wanting to create a QR Code that can be reprogrammed, you want to select a DYNAMIC QR Code for use. The use of this feature is often paid.
